The "Joint Countermeasures Committee to Stop AI Digital Textbooks," consisting of 126 civic groups, has filed a complaint with the High-ranking Government Officials' Criminal Investigation Office to investigate allegations of abuse of authority by Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Lee Ju-ho.

The task force consistently demanded that the Ministry of Education stop its AI digital textbook policy, but pointed out that Minister Lee is pouring astronomical budgets into the project without collecting any opinions.

On the 29th of last month, it was reported that AI digital textbooks were added to the standard financial demand measurement item under the Local Education Finance Grant Act, forcing the person in charge of the grant payment to assist in job execution against the Constitution.

Therefore, he argued that Minister Lee abused his general authority in that he pushed for amendments to the enforcement ordinance of related laws only to enforce the AI digital textbook system, not 'balanced development of education'.
