Kim Man-bae, a major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu Co., and Shin Hak-rim, a former chairman of the press union, have been released after being arrested and charged with defaming the president of Yoon Suk Yeol through false reports.

The Seoul Central District Court today (20th) cited Kim and former chairman Shin's request for bail.

At the same time, he made a promise on the condition of paying 30 million won in bail deposits, being obligated to attend the trial, and prohibiting the destruction of evidence.

The two were indicted in July on charges of defaming President Yoon by reporting false facts related to the Busan Savings Bank investigation during the last presidential election and exchanging 165 million won in return.Kim, a key figure in the

'Daejangdong Suspicion', was released after being first arrested in November 2021 and has since been arrested twice more on charges of 'hiding criminal proceeds' and 'suspicious of false reporting'.
