The prosecution, which is investigating the "suspected involvement in the nomination," will cross-examine two preliminary candidates in the Yeongnam region for the 2022 local elections and Kim Tae-yeol, the head of the Korea Institute of Future Studies.

The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office plans to call them in this morning (21st) to investigate.

The two prospective candidates are accused of handing over 120 million won each to Myung Tae-kyun and Kim in hopes of nomination ahead of the 2022 local elections.
