Ruling Party Holds Policy Meeting to Introduce Fiscal Rules

An emergency policy meeting will be held to discuss the introduction of a "fiscal rule" that forces the people's power to not exceed a certain limit.

Earlier, the ruling party had proposed and enacted a fiscal consolidation law that included maintaining the ratio of gross domestic product and national debt to GDP below 45 percent through fiscal rules.

The meeting will be attended by party officials such as representative Han Dong-hoon, floor leader Choo Kyung-ho, National Assembly Strategy and Finance Committee Chairman Song Eon-seok, and related officials such as Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Choi Sang-mok.
