Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Brazil's capital Brasilia as a state guest and held bilateral talks with Brazilian President Lula D'Ashiuba at the presidential residence."The two countries are ready to be golden partners for each other's success," President
said at a news conference after the meeting, adding that the strengthening of strategic partnerships "has marked the best moment in history in the development of China-Brazil relations."
The two countries signed agreements in a total of 37 areas, including China's land and sea silk road projects linking Asia, Europe and Africa, and a protocol to create synergy between "One Belt, One Road" and Brazil's development programs.
Brazil, however, has not officially expressed its intention to join the "One Belt, One Road."
Through the agreement, China plans to introduce its own satellite communication system, which the international community calls the "Chinese version of Starlink," to the Brazilian market in particular.
Chinese satellite company "SpaceSale" will begin work to launch rockets carrying satellites locally based on agreements with Brazilian telecommunications company Televras and others, local media reported.
China's Xinhua News Agency said it aims to launch related commercial services in 2026 in Brazil, which has a population of 210 million."On the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties, relations with China are deepening," President
Lula said. "In an international community divided by conflict, we are strengthening economic cooperation while prioritizing peace."
At the meeting, Xi called Brazil a "community that shares the future," which means it is a country that shares geopolitical and economic interests.
