'Suspension of Duty' Chairman Lee Ki-heung Goes to the Olympic Hall...a protest denouncing trade unions

Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council, who was suspended by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has "suddenly gone to work" at the Olympic Hall.

Chairman Lee reportedly visited the Olympic Center in Bangi-dong, Seoul, for about an hour today (21st) amid protests by members of the sports association's labor union against going to work.

In the afternoon, I also visited Jincheon Training Center in North Chungcheong Province.

Chairman Lee said in a YTN call that he had the task of contacting the current International Olympic Committee and IOC members, and explained that he could go to work if he had any issues to deal with in the future.

Chairman Lee, who is facing a police investigation on charges of fraudulent hiring of employees, is expected to declare his bid for a third term next week.
