According to the Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center and the organizers of Finetech, domestic participating companies also announced the status of Korean hologram technology to the international stage by recording about $21 million worth of consultation results.
In particular, Jeongwan Company, one of the participating companies, introduced an innovative holographic device based on Transparent LCD.
The device was developed for the purpose of demonstrating Holoportation technology and presented various use cases such as non-face-to-face information delivery and real-time meetings to visitors and industry officials. The
T-LCD-based hologram device is characterized by supplementing the shortcomings of the existing floating hologram and fan hologram technologies. Transparent LCD technology can be used to implement clearer and more immersive content, and it can be used in various environments without physical constraints by controlling transparency.
Jeongwan Company CEO Choi Jeong-wan said, "We plan to accelerate our entry into the global market as we have confirmed the possibility that K-hologram technology can play a leading role in the global stage through this exhibition. In line with the upcoming 6G communication era, we will further advance holographic technology through convergence with ultra-realistic media technology," he said.
