It is a village in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, which is adjacent to North Korea.

At dawn, you can hear the cries of wild animals through the loudspeaker against the South, and you can even hear ghosts.

It reverberates all over the island overnight.

[Lee Sun-young / Songhae-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon (last month): The noise at night is so severe that ordinary people cannot imagine it without hearing it. I was so surprised by the sound that I woke up at dawn, and the sound was so strange..]

In fact, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, conducted an on-site survey of 70 residents in Songhae-myeon, where damage from broadcasting to the South was concentrated, and about 10% complained of difficulties in daily life.

A similar survey came out in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.

From the 8th to the 14th, mental health tests were conducted on 100 residents of the border area such as Wolgot-myeon, and two were diagnosed as "high-risk" and 27 as "interest."Most of the high-risk and interest groups

are elderly people in their 70s and 80s with sleep disorders, stress, and anxiety symptoms.

Gimpo City announced that it will provide psychological counseling treatment to residents.

[Gyeonggi Gimpo City Hall official: We'll continue to talk on the phone once a month, and if you re-evaluate it later and agree, a psychiatrist will also link you to the treatment.]

In the wake of a series of damage to residents, Gimpo City and Incheon City have decided to install soundproof facilities such as soundproof windows in houses where North Korean noise broadcasts are heard close to each other.
