Has National Apartment Prices Stop Rising?Turning Down in 23 Weeks

The price of apartments across the country has turned downward?

[Reporter]
According to a survey by the Korea Real Estate Agency, apartment sales prices nationwide fell 0.01% from the previous week as of the 18th.

Seoul has been on the rise for 35 weeks, recording the same 0.06% increase as the previous week, but the recent trend shows that the rate of increase is weakening.

The Seoul metropolitan area was negative across the country as the decline was wider, with the increase down 0.01 percent from last week and the provinces down 0.04 percent.

It is the first downward shift in nearly half a year since rising in the third week of June.

What's the reason?

[Reporter]
The contraction of buying sentiment due to loan regulations was observed as the main reason for the adjustment.

The nationwide apartment jeonse price, which is a leading index of selling prices, rose 0.03%, maintaining its upward trend, but the rise is also weakening.

Not only Seoul, but also the Seoul metropolitan area and provinces saw their gains decrease from last week.

Experts say apartment prices are unlikely to lead to a trend decline.

However, it is predicted that Seoul, which has already recovered prices, will show a different pattern from the provinces where price recovery has not been completed.

In other words, apartment prices in Seoul have slowed down a little now, but predictions are coming out that they will continue to rise slowly in the future.
