On the morning of the 21st (local time), "Disney Content Showcase APAC 2024" was held in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Leading actors Park Eun-bin, Seol Kyung-gu and Kim Jung-hyun attended the "HyperKnife" press conference in the afternoon.
"HyperKnife," which is scheduled to be released in the first half of next year, is a medical thriller about fierce confrontation and brain fights between Jeong Se-ok (Park Eun-bin), a promising genius doctor, and Choi Deok-hee (Seol Kyung-gu), a teacher who dropped her into the abyss due to a series of events.
On this day, Seol Kyung-gu said, "It's my first time playing the role of a doctor, so it's unfamiliar, but the neurosurgeon professor told me all the processes of changing into a surgical suit and the actions just before the surgery. He also advised me that I could do it according to the character because it was a drama, not an actual surgery. "But it was difficult in the first surgery scene. My fingers are thick and not delicate, so it was hard when I held the tweezers and performed detailed acting," he confessed.
Park Eun-bin was also the first doctor. On the other hand, his fingers were too thin to stand on.
Park Eun-bin said, "I had thin and thin fingers, so I acted everything myself. I was worried if the scene I was doing could be on the screen. The teacher who advised me said that there would be no big difference from the trainee, so I had a different experience by doing it myself," he said.
Director Kim said, "I think it's the faces, acting, and appearance of the two actors that I haven't seen before. First of all, it was an honor to see it on the spot, and the passion that you two showed on the spot motivated the drama to be more fun and complete," he said.
Regarding expressing a different priestly even though he is a doctor, Seol Kyung-gu said, "I think it's possible as a person-to-person apart from the priestly, but it's a priestly figure that you haven't seen before, so you may think, 'How do I tell my teacher?' "I think it could be shocking to someone, and I think their relationship could be an interesting point," he said.
