Sokcho City announced that it will spend 4.6 billion won to build an English library on a 2,190㎡ site near Cheongcho Lake, and plans to start construction in March next year and open in March 2026.
The library will have a two-story building, with an infant and children's archives on the first floor and a magazine zone and a multimedia zone on the second floor.
Sokcho Mayor Lee Byung-sun said, "We will do our best to establish ourselves as a learning place and play space for children to develop their dreams in the global era."
