Yang Kyung-soo, chairman of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, attended the police on the 9th in connection with a clash between some rally participants and the police during a large-scale rally in downtown Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's public crime investigation team is investigating whether Chairman Yang was called as a suspect today (22nd) and planned a clash at the time.Chairman Yang

held a press conference prior to the investigation and claimed that it was the police who blocked the march of the rally participants and caused violence and quarrels.

Earlier on the 9th, 11 participants were arrested on charges of assaulting the police at the "First General Assembly of the Resignation of the Government" held near Seoul City Hall.

The police had been investigating seven leaders of the KCTU, saying that the violent protests may have been planned, but turned Chairman Yang and others into suspects after a related complaint was filed.
