Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for cutting the budget for the additional construction of Mapo garbage incinerator during next year's government budget review process.

In a post on his SNS, Mayor Oh claimed that Chung Chung-rae of the Democratic Party, whose constituency is Mapo, cut the budget for the construction of the Mapo Metropolitan Resource Recovery Facility with the environmental labor committee members of the Democratic Party, and reduced the budget deliberation to a place of violence.

At the same time, he called it a serious budget weaponization behavior, and raised his voice that lawmakers should do it to prevent resource recovery facilities, a national task, in a situation where garbage to be incinerated is exploding.

Mayor Oh also said that lawmakers, who have to think about and design the future for the whole country, are taking the lead in showing the behavior of alley politicians, adding that farming the budget with local selfishness is farming the state administration.
