A man in his 40s who tried to steal money from an unknown woman in the parking lot of Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul was sentenced to prison in the first trial.

The Seoul Eastern District Court sentenced A, who was charged with attempted special robbery, to four years in prison.

The court pointed out that A carried an electric shocker and blue tape to search for the victim and committed the crime against the victim who was alone.

A was put on trial in August on charges of blocking the mouth of a woman in her 20s who was watching a baseball game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and trying to take away money and valuables.

It was investigated that A planned the crime, such as preparing an electric shock absorber in advance to pay for homelessness.
