Regarding age discrimination in the employment process, the amendment calls for unifying the existing structure divided into the National Human Rights Commission of Korea and the Ministry of Employment and Labor through the Labor Relations Commission.
In addition, a provision has been added that employers bear the burden of proof in age discrimination disputes and impose fines on business owners who fail to comply with corrective orders.
The special committee on resolving the gap stressed that it will do its best to create a sustainable working environment based on trust between employers and employers.
