While the National Assembly is seeking to cut the Korea Communications Standards Commission's budget by 30%, members of the Korea Communications Standards Commission have called for the restoration of the budget, saying there is a high risk that the function will be virtually paralyzed.

Ryu Hee-rim, chairman of the Korea Communications Standards Commission, Kim Jung-soo, and Kang Kyung-pil, issued a statement expressing concern, saying that if the budget is cut by 30%, the operation of the institution itself will be threatened.

They said the Korea Communications Standards Commission is currently conducting a vast amount of deliberations with three members, asking them to support it to act as a legal breakwater against threats to people's livelihoods, such as deepfake sex crime videos.
