Reuters, citing two Italian government sources, said four Italian soldiers were slightly injured in the attack at the headquarters of the U.N. peacekeeping force in Shama, southern Lebanon, on Tuesday local time.
The wounded soldiers are not known to be life-threatening, and investigations are currently being conducted.
Nearly 10,000 U.N. peacekeepers are stationed on Israel's border with Lebanon, serving as a buffer.
However, as the battle between the Israeli military and Hezbollah begins in earnest, damage to peacekeepers is also continuing.
On the 15th, eight rockets fell on the UN peacekeeping base in southern Lebanon, and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tayani said Hezbollah was likely to be responsible.
