At around 1 a.m. today (23rd), there was a dizzying accident in which a pile of dirt collapsed at the waterworks construction site.

One worker was injured, and it took nearly three hours to rescue him under the soil.

The middle of the road is open as if the ground is turned off.

There is a lot of soil next to the pit.

When a pile of dirt collapsed in the process of replacing the water supply, the fire department came to the rescue.

[Construction official: The soil collapsed while I was picking the ground to work on it.]

At that time, workers in their 40s were buried in the soil even up to their chests, making it difficult to take them out.

In a dizzying situation where the ground could collapse further if you take it out recklessly,
Firefighters worked hard to rescue
by digging up dirt little by little by hand.

The worker was rescued and taken to a hospital about three hours after the report was received.

Although he injured his right leg, it was confirmed that it was not life-threatening.

The fire department and the district office are controlling the surroundings and investigating the cause of the accident as there is a risk of the ground collapsing again.
