Woman missing in Gyeongpo, Gangneung, under special weather warning... searching.

A woman who fell into the sea in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, is missing amid a wind and waves warning across the East Coast, and the Coast Guard is conducting a search operation.

At around 1:45 a.m. today, a woman was reported to have been swept away by waves near Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung, Gangwon-do.

The East Sea Coast Guard dispatched maritime special rescue teams and patrol boats to search, but they have not found any missing persons.

At the time of the accident, waves were rising high in the east coast of Gangwon-do, and wind warnings are still in place across the East Sea.

The Coast Guard is searching around the sea and the coast around the missing point, and will conduct an underwater search as soon as the wave conditions improve.
