When the weather gets colder and it's time to end the year, we look back on our neighbors in need.

Reporter Lee Sang-gon visited the scene where he made a gift package with locally produced grains and delivered the warmth.

University students transfer the grains into boxes by type.

There are eight kinds of glutinous rice, brown rice, and seoritae produced in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do.

Finally, a handwritten letter written with sincerity in each letter is completed, and a gift package to be delivered to the elderly living alone and low-income families is completed.

The university purchased local agricultural products and carefully packaged them by students.

[Kong Jisoo / Baekseok University student: I'm so proud to finish it off well, and I think it'll be an opportunity to work hard while focusing more on other volunteer activities]

A total of 400 gift boxes were made like this, and the delivery of goods was helped by government officials.

The university's meaningful sharing event has been going on for 22 years.

It started as a kimchi sharing event, but since last year, we have been filling gift boxes with mixed grains produced in Cheonan to help local farmers.

[Kim Sang-tae / Farmers: The cost of production goes up, but it's hard for farmers because it can't be consumed. But through this opportunity, our agricultural products are consumed a lot, so we are very grateful and grateful.]

The university said that the satisfaction of gift recipients has also increased.

[Song Ki-shin / Vice President of Baekseok University: There are many people who are in trouble because the economy is struggling these days. It's a small gift that we made, but I hope it helps them have a warm winter]

The service of sharing love grains delivers warmth to neighbors who are worried about the cold winter, and is also a great help in expanding local agricultural markets.
