In July, when 63 winners of the first lottery prize came out and rumors of manipulation did not subside, a live lottery broadcast was held with the public inviting a hundred people.

With a large number of winners, there are also public opinions that the winning money should be reduced and the winning money should be raised, but the government is cautious.

Lee Seung-eun reports.

Among the applicants, the general public, who is selected by lottery, examines the lottery machine and the ball, and selects a ball set.

The event, which invites 100 observers five times more than usual, was held because many people won the election and rumors of manipulation continue.

The average number of first-place winners in the last 10 rounds was 12.2 and 63 last July were first.

The government and lottery trustees say it's a coincidence coming from sales of more than 100 million games a week, and people's preferred numbers are similar.

[Lim Cho-soon/Lottery Trustee Managing Director: They choose numbers that are lined up on their own birthdays, family birthdays, or slip papers, or oblique lines, and more than 10,000 people are selected every time.]

Therefore, I asked you not to be swayed by the words that predict the winning number or 'lotto prestigious'.

In the case of Nowon-gu, Seoul, where the first place has been won 14 times in six years since 2017, people have flocked to sell more than 100 billion won, so there will be a lot of wins.

The word "life reversal" has now been overshadowed by the first prize money for a bunch of wins.

The round, which had 63 first-place winners, was only about 300 million won if 30% of income tax and 3% of resident tax were deducted.

According to the results of the survey conducted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance through the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, there was a similar opinion that the winning money should be raised and that it should be left as it is.

[Yoo Soo-won / Lotto Lottery Lottery: House prices in Seoul are very expensive, and even if it's Lotto, you don't get a lot of money if you pay taxes, right? [3 billion won?]

[Lee Ji-yoon / Lottery lottery public observer: Then I think I'll use it more often. Then I think there will be more winners, so it doesn't mean much.]

The government said it will gather additional public opinion and carefully consider whether to raise the prize money, as a result of a survey involving a large number of periodic lottery buyers.
