The 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which is underway in Baku, Azerbaijan, has been extended again due to disagreements over the contribution of developed countries.

The chairman of the General Assembly unveiled a draft agreement on the 21st that it will set a goal of raising $1.3 trillion a year and about 1,826 trillion won in Korean money by 2035, of which developed countries will pay $250 billion a year.

The $250 billion burden on developed countries is 2.5 times the target set in 2009, but developing countries exposed to the threat of climate change have protested, saying that developed countries, which have a greater responsibility, should bear a greater burden.

Negotiators entered overnight negotiations as differences were not narrowed.

The 28th General Assembly held in the United Arab Emirates last year was over a day, and the 27th General Assembly held in Egypt the year before last was over two days.

Under the 2015 Paris Climate Change Agreement, developed countries have an obligation to help those vulnerable to climate change.

Developing countries are demanding that developed countries pay at least $500 billion, about 703 trillion won in our money.
