The largest comic book event in Korea, "Comic World," is being held in Daegu.

It is said that there is no time to step on the venue with many visitors, including animation enthusiasts who came for the holiday.

There is a reporter on the scene. Reporter Kim Geunwoo!

What is the atmosphere of the largest cartoon event in Korea?

[Reporter]
Yes, I'm out of the venue right now.

As you can see, you can see visitors wearing various makeup and enjoying the event here.

A long line has been lined up since the morning due to a large crowd of visitors.

In particular, most of the visitors visit the venue dressed up as animation or cartoon characters,
I could feel something unique as if I were in a cartoon.

The Comic World event began back in 1999.

It is designed as a festival for those who enjoy related cultures, not only cartoonists but also animation fans and aspiring writers.

We looked around the venue while preparing for the show.

Visitors who showed a variety of makeup, so-called 'cosplay,' stood out.

It wasn't just makeup, but it made the event richer by presenting songs and role plays from real games or animations.

In addition, there was an event to exhibit and sell secondary creations made by various local clubs.

Visitors also sold their own paintings and products, exchanged opinions, and enjoyed themselves.

In particular, this event is more special for non-metropolitan visitors.

It is the first time in five years that Comic World will be held in Daegu since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

It has already been held more than 100 times in Seoul and Busan, but it is said that this is the 11th time in Daegu.

The accessibility of local visitors who had to go all the way to Seoul to enjoy the related culture has also increased significantly.

As the base of animation and cartoon enthusiasts gradually expands, related events are expected to continue to expand.
