Shin Won-sik, head of the National Security Office, said U.S. President-elect Trump told Yoon Suk Yeol three or four times to meet before taking office.

Regarding the North Korean trend, he predicted that there is a high possibility of launching a spy satellite before the end of the year, and that Kim Jong-un may visit Russia.

In a phone call between President Yoon Suk Yeol and President-elect Donald Trump on the 7th, shortly after the U.S. presidential election, Trump reportedly said three to four times to meet before taking office.

Shin Won-sik, head of the presidential office's national security office, said on the broadcast that he was present at the time of the call.

However, after the call, Trump said that he will continue to communicate closely, saying that he understands that he has established a principle that he will not meet with foreign leaders before taking office in consideration of selection issues.

[Kim Taehyo / First Deputy Director of the National Security Office (last 7th): President Yoon and President Trump agreed to set a date and place and have a meeting soon]

There is no imminent sign yet of the North's possible launch of a spy satellite, but it is in the final stages of preparation, and the possibility of a launch before the end of the year is high.

Since the launch of a spy satellite in May, it has been analyzed that it has taken time to integrate the command system as it has a new launch system.

It is difficult to rule out the possibility of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia, which Putin interpreted as a courtesy to thank North Korea for its dispatch.

Earlier, the National Intelligence Service also recently made an observation of Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia in the wake of North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Sun-hee's meeting with President Putin earlier this month.

[Park Sun-won / Secretary of the Democratic Party of Korea Intelligence Committee (last 20th): There were also cautious observations that Kim Jong-un could visit Russia.]

Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to visit South Korea on the occasion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in Gyeongju next year, he said, adding that the possibility grew with China taking over as chair in 2026.
