The emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association, which includes medical students, professors, and practitioners, held an official meeting with politicians for the first time since its launch.

Park Hyung-wook, chairman of the emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association, and Park Dan, chairman of the emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association, met with Heo Eun-ah, leader of the New Reform Party, and Lee Ju-young, member of the National Assembly, at the Medical Association Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, this afternoon (24th) and held a closed meeting for about an hour.

At this meeting, the two sides discussed the issue of "educational disruptions" that are feared if the increase in medical schools in 2025 is confirmed.Speaking to reporters after the meeting, CEO Huh

criticized the government for not coming up with measures other than numbers to take responsibility for the 7,500 number of first-year students who are expected to increase the number of medical students who have not taken classes this year.

He then pointed out that without an alternative to how to educate them right away, President Yoon Suk Yeol recklessly said he would give a definite answer to medical reform by December.

Currently, the medical association and medical doctors refuse to participate in the government-led consultative body, and they are continuing their hard-line response by officially making the claim of "Stop recruiting medical doctors."
