The Central Disaster Management Headquarters for Avian Influenza said today (24th) that an H5 type AI antigen has been identified at a farm in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, and is being tested for high pathogenicity.
The farm has raised more than 10 poultry, including native chickens, but it is known that it is not a commercial farm.
The Central Disaster Management Headquarters has sent a response team to the farm to take quarantine measures such as access control, and Jeollanam-do Province will order livestock facilities and vehicles in the jurisdiction to temporarily suspend movement for 24 hours from 10 p.m. today to 10 p.m. tomorrow.
