The Central Disaster Management Headquarters for Avian Influenza said yesterday (24th) that an H5 type AI antigen was confirmed at a farm in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, and it was being tested for high pathogenicity.
The farm has raised more than 10 poultry, including native chickens, but it is known that it is not a commercial farm.
The Central Disaster Management Headquarters has sent a response team to farms to take quarantine measures such as access control, and Jeollanam-do Province ordered a 24-hour temporary suspension of livestock facilities and vehicles in the jurisdiction from 10 p.m. yesterday to 10 p.m. today.
