The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will hold a separate memorial service at the Sado Mine Korean dormitory at 9 a.m. today to console the victims of the Sado Mine.
The event will be attended by Korean government officials, including the ambassador to Japan, and the bereaved families of the victims of the Sado mine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today's memorial service is an expression of the Korean government's firm determination not to compromise with Japan on past history.
He added that based on these principles, we will continue to strive for the development of bilateral relations that are in the interests of both Korea and Japan.
