Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was sentenced to a suspended sentence in the first trial of the election law case, faces another "judicial risk" in 10 days.

The first trial will be sentenced today (25th) in the perjury teacher case, and the prosecution has asked the court to sentence him to three years in prison, the maximum in the sentencing criteria.

The first trial will be held at 2 p.m. today (25th) at the Seoul Central District Court in the case of CEO Lee Jae-myung's perjury teacher.

In connection with the so-called "prosecutor impersonation" case, Kim Jin-sung, a former secretary of Seongnam Mayor Kim Byung-ryang, was accused of urging false testimony at the trial.

Since their indictment in October last year, the two sides have been engaged in a fierce battle at nine hearings.

The prosecution believes that Kim Jin-sung accepted Lee's request and gave favorable testimony in court.

On the other hand, the representative Lee is pleading not guilty, saying that he only told him to make a statement as he remembered.

Lee is facing five trials, including the election law case that leads to the second trial.

Among them, the suspicion of perjury has been cited as a case in which Kim Jin-sung admits all of his perjury charges and is likely to result against CEO Lee.

The court also rejected the arrest warrant requested by the prosecution against CEO Lee in September last year, but admitted that the perjury teacher charge was cleared.

If representative Lee is sentenced to more than imprisonment, he will be deprived of his right to run for election and lose his parliamentary seat until the sentence expires.

At the final hearing, the prosecution demanded a three-year prison term for CEO Lee, saying that perjury is a serious crime that disturbs the judicial order and causes social chaos.
