Another fire broke out at POSCO Pohang Steelworks last night (24th).

No one was injured and the fire was extinguished in about two hours, but another fire broke out in two weeks, which is expected to disrupt the operation of the factory.

At around 11:20 p.m. last night (24th), another fire broke out in two weeks at POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Gyeongbuk.

The fire was extinguished in two hours, and fortunately, no one was injured.

The 3 Finex plant, where the fire broke out, was also on fire on the 10th, causing one employee to burn and damaging major facilities, stopping the production of molten metal.

It has been restarted in nine days since then, but the factory operation is expected to be disrupted as another fire breaks out.

In Samcheok, Gangwon-do, there was a fire in a detached house last night.

The fire was extinguished about 40 minutes after causing 7 million won worth of damage, and two people in the house evacuated themselves and did not spread to casualties.

Police and fire authorities believe the fire started due to a problem with the bathroom's electrical wiring.

The police suspect that the accident occurred due to careless driving in the congested section.

Authorities have ordered livestock facilities and vehicles in the jurisdiction to temporarily suspend movement for 24 hours until 10 p.m. tonight.
