Taiwan won the Premier 12, a national baseball competition, for the first time.

Taiwan defeated Japan 4-0 with Jeon Je-shan's three-run home run in the final of the tournament at Tokyo Dome.

This is the first time Taiwan has won major international competitions such as the Olympics, WBC, and Premier 12.

Jeon Je-Shen, who had 3 hits and 3 RBIs in 5 at-bats in the final, hit 6255 with two home runs and six RBIs in the competition, was named the most valuable player of the competition.

In 2019, Japan ended its 27-game winning streak at the international tournament, which has continued since the tournament's super round.

Our national baseball team, led by head coach Ryu Joong-il, lost to Taiwan and Japan in the preliminary round and failed to advance to the Super Round with 3 wins and 2 losses.
