President Yoon Suk Yeol and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met at the APEC summit in Peru on the 16th.
When Prime Minister Anwar, who was waiting for a commemorative photo, misrepresented the host city of APEC in Korea next year, he told them that it was Gyeongju.
The two leaders, who met again in South Korea in nine days, held a summit and formed a "strategic partnership."
Ahead of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year, it has established an institutional foundation for leapfrogging bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.

It also adopted a joint statement to strengthen defense cooperation in Malaysia's light attack aircraft replacement project and speed up the negotiations for the Malaysia-Malaysia FTA, which aims to be concluded in 2025.
It also condemned North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile test and expressed concern over deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
In addition, it has decided to establish a stable supply chain with Malaysia, the world's ninth-largest rare earth reserves.
The presidential office explained that the summit also signed a memorandum of understanding to respond to climate change such as reducing greenhouse gases and revitalize cooperation in the education sector.
