A man in his 40s was recently arrested in connection with the discovery of a fake explosive near the U.S. Embassy in Britain.

The Metropolitan Police Department arrested a 43-year-old man on the 24th local time, and the exact motive for the crime is not yet known.

Earlier on the morning of the 22nd local time, a suspicious object was found near the U.S. Embassy in Britain, and police caused an explosion under control and handled it.

There were no casualties, but nearby roads were blocked and embassy work was disrupted at one point.

The U.S. Embassy in the U.K. had previously been in the Mayfair area of central London before moving to "Nine Elms" in south London in 2018.
