Fire at a motel in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do...22 Injured

A fire broke out at a four-story motel in Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 10 p.m. last night (25th) and was extinguished in 40 minutes.

A total of 22 people were injured and 16 were evacuated, with 3 people staying in the room seriously injured and 12 people being taken to a nearby hospital.

Among the seriously injured, one Chinese man in his 50s in the second floor room recovered from cardiac arrest, and the other two showed shortness of breath, but it is known that his life is not affected.

The fire department once issued the first stage of response that mobilized all the fire department personnel because the fire broke out was a lodging facility, and 92 people, including 37 equipment and firefighters, were deployed to extinguish the fire.

The fire department plans to investigate the exact cause of the fire, believing that the fire started on the bed at the checkout counter on the first floor of the motel.
