A huge rain cloud covers the Korean Peninsula right now, how much rain is it raining across the country?

◆Airport Jin> It rained a lot all night. I was very worried because 59mm of rain fell very strongly in Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do. In particular, nearly 100mm of heavy rain was recorded in the mountainous areas of Jeju. 16mm of rain was recorded in Seoul. However, the rain clouds are moving rapidly east, so most of the western regions such as Seoul stopped raining. Some people are also seeing clear skies. But the wind is blowing a little strong. It looks like the weather will change a lot today. This is because cold air is rushing in from the north. There is currently a cold air of about minus 40 degrees Celsius rushing in 5km, which is the coldest air experienced in November. That's why I think we're heading fast to winter now.

As the temperature drops like this, there is a high possibility that the occasional rain will turn into snow. When it snows, Seoul will have the first snow. When the cold air comes down strongly, the instability becomes severe. This increases the possibility of strong clouds developing. So, as the possibility of developing this snow cloud increases, very strong and heavy snow of about 1 to 3 centimeters per hour is expected from the Seoul metropolitan area from dawn to morning tomorrow. So it is expected that up to 8cm of snow will accumulate in the metropolitan area. And a lot of snow is expected to accumulate up to 15cm in the high mountains of the central or southern part, especially in the mountains of Gangwon-do, but when there is so much snow, it is inconvenient in many ways. When a lot of snow falls, there is a possibility that the vehicle will be isolated from the sudden snow. And because this is heavy snow, there is a possibility of damaging greenhouses and facilities. And if it suddenly snows a lot, you can't see well. It's much more difficult to stand in the way than rain. That's why it's very difficult to drive because the visibility gets shorter. Of course, there is a possibility that the wind will blow and get cold, so the cold weather may cause you to suffer, but tomorrow's rush hour is a problem. As I said earlier, there is a possibility of strong snow between dawn and morning tomorrow, so it is expected that you should use public transportation if possible on your way to work tomorrow morning.
