Police have launched an investigation after a couple in their 50s were found stabbed in Gwangju.
According to a Yonhap News report on the 26th, a vehicle was reported to have collided with a guardrail on the road 100m in front of the Donggwangsan Interchange in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, at around 11:30 a.m. that day.
Fire authorities who were dispatched found a couple in their 50s who were stabbed and bleeding in the car and took them to a hospital, but the man died. The woman in the car was also reportedly unconscious and in critical condition.
Police found a weapon inside the vehicle and did not find circumstantial evidence that another person was in.
Police will investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
