The provincial education office announced the extension of the preliminary designation period for the first phase of the new designation of science high schools.
The existing preliminary designation review was scheduled to be based only on applications for public offering submitted by the desired area for the establishment of the science high school, but in-depth inquiries were added.
The in-depth questioning will be conducted online early next month and will be conducted by seven judges, including school establishment experts, asking education support offices, schools, and local government officials in the application area about school establishment, school operation, and curriculum.
With the addition of in-depth queries, the entire science high school designation period will be extended by about two weeks.
Accordingly, the first phase of preliminary designation will be announced early next month, the second phase of the Special Purpose High School Designation and Operation Committee will be deliberated in early January next year, the third phase of the education minister's consent request will be made in mid-January next year, and the superintendent's designation and examination will be made in mid-March next year.
