Regarding the "Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Act," which requires the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to recommend candidates for special prosecution, the Ministry of Justice said it has decided to demand a reconsideration from the National Assembly, calling it a "de facto opposition-appointed special prosecutor with only patterns."

The Ministry of Justice issued a press release of 5 pages of A4 paper and explained the reason today (26th) after voting on the request for reconsideration of the First Lady Kim's Special Prosecutor Act at a Cabinet meeting.

The Justice Ministry said the Deutsche Motors case, which is the subject of the independent counsel bill, is currently under trial at the Supreme Court, adding that it is directly against the principle of separation of powers to investigate a candidate for the independent counsel who will be in charge of the case.

He also pointed out that if the opposition party judges that the candidate recommended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is unfit, it can exercise unlimited veto power, and in the end, it is like giving the opposition party the right to recommend the special prosecutor candidate.
