Prosecutors recover 13 billion criminal proceeds representing QRC Bank of 'virtual currency fraud'

The prosecution has recovered all of the QRC Bank's representative criminal proceeds, which has been confirmed to be heavy, by committing 200 billion won worth of virtual currency investment fraud against North Korean defectors and foreigners.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said it has recovered a fine of 13 billion won against the late CEO of QRC Bank.

The recovered criminal proceeds included two multibillion-dollar apartments acquired by Ko, a membership of a famous resort and two foreign cars.

As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Ko hid various assets in the name of his wife, who was falsely divorced from a borrowed corporation, and kept a number of artworks and precious metals in his residence.In November last year,
