This photo was released by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Agency, saying Western parts were found in the remains of North Korean KN-23 and KN-24 short-range ballistic missiles fired by Russia.
Ukraine claims that North Korea has provided Russia with more than 100 missiles and sent military experts for maintenance of the launch pad.
Parts manufactured by Chinese, American, Japanese, British and Swiss companies were added to the list released this time,
In particular, voltage converters made in July 2023 by British manufacturer 'XP Power' are included.
This is noteworthy because it is evidence that North Korea has been producing missiles by obtaining foreign parts to avoid international sanctions since 2022 when the war in Ukraine began.
Meanwhile, Russia has raised tensions, citing the possibility of a missile deployment in Asia.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov said, "The U.S. has recently moved to deploy medium and short-range missiles in Asia," adding, "If the U.S. does it, Russia will also do it."
Although it did not mention the specific deployment area, there are concerns that North Korea could become a candidate given the recent pace of strengthening the North Korea-Russia alliance.
Russia also stressed that there is no problem with the deployment of a new intermediate-range ballistic missile, "Oresynik."
With the deployment of missiles to Russia in the face of confrontation between the United States and China, the arms race in Asia is escalating.
