Russia's Defense Ministry said on Telegram that Ukraine had launched Ae-Tax missiles targeting military facilities and airfields in Kursk, near Russia's western border, on the 23rd and 25th.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack targeted the Rotarebka S-400 anti-aircraft battalion, 37 kilometers northwest of Kursk.
The Russian military destroyed three missiles, but the two reached targets intended by Ukrainian forces, damaging radars and causing casualties, the ministry explained.
On Saturday, eight Ae-Tax missiles flew to Kursk-Bostocini airfield near Kursk-Bostocini, one of which fell on the target, causing minor injuries to two soldiers, the ministry said.
In response to the attack, Russia's Defense Ministry said, "It has been confirmed that Ukrainian forces have attacked it with US-made Ae-Tax missiles," adding, "We are preparing retaliatory measures."
Earlier on the 21st, Russia launched a new hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile, Oresinik, into Ukraine in response to Ukraine's first attack on the mainland of the Atax missile.
