In his White House address after the ceasefire agreement, Biden said there was good news for the Middle East and that fighting would end at the Israeli-Lebanon border from 4 a.m. local time tomorrow.
The cease-fire agreement is designed to stop hostilities permanently, he said, stressing that Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations will never again be able to threaten Israel's security.
President Biden has proved peace is possible with the ceasefire and says he will not stop trying for a moment as long as peace is possible.
President Biden has also pressed Hamas, which has sparked the Gaza war, saying it must now choose and that the only way out is to free hostages, including American citizens.
In addition, the U.S. said it would put pressure on Gaza to free its hostages and achieve a ceasefire in Gaza beyond Hamas' rule in the future.
