Police have booked a man in his 50s who defecated and assaulted a bus driver for restraining him from smoking on a city bus.

The Daejeon Western Police Station is investigating a man in his 50s on charges of assaulting a driver and obscene performance under the Specific Crime Aggravated Punishment Act.

Mr. A is accused of peeing at a bus driver and punching him on a city bus running in Yongmun-dong, Daejeon, at around 11 p.m. on the 19th.

Mr. A was smoking on the bus drunk at the time, but he was found to have committed the crime when the bus driver reported it to the police while demanding that he turn off his cigarette.

The bus driver, who suffered two weeks of injuries before treatment, is known to continue working with his face covered with sunglasses because his bruises have not subsided so far.

An official from a bus company said, "Pee terrorism cannot happen in front of passengers due to lack of smoking and assault on the bus," and stressed, "We need strict punishment."

The police will soon call A to investigate the specific motive of the crime.
