Prosecutors Seize and Search People's Power Over 'Suspected Intervention in Nomination'

Prosecutors investigating the "suspected intervention in the nomination" involving former lawmaker Kim Young-sun and Myung Tae-kyun have launched a search and seizure of the People's Power Party.

The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office attempted to seize and search the central headquarters of the People's Power in Yeouido-dong, Seoul, this morning (27th) to secure data related to the nomination of Changwon's Uichang district for the 2022 parliamentary by-elections.

The office of the department in charge of the task is separate at the National Assembly Hall, so the party's organizing bureau in the National Assembly did not proceed with the seizure and search process.
