The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the "Sparkplex" project to create an open innovation hub that supports and fosters startups in the bio sector, with Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Director Yoon Won-seok, and Spark Lab CEO Kim Ho-min attending.
The Sparkplex development project will build one 35-story office and one officetel on 10,000㎡ of land in the F3-3 block of Songdo International Business Complex, with an estimated project cost of 500 billion won.
It houses shared offices, laboratories, precision medical centers, youth housing facilities for tenant companies, and community facilities.
The Incheon Metropolitan Government, the Incheon Economic Office, and Spark Lab plan to start basic and implementation design services in 2026 after consulting on details.
