Six cars slipped into the snow in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, at dawn, causing an accident.

There were also various safety accidents, such as the fall of street trees.

I'm connecting with a reporter for more information.

Reporter Yuh-hyun, please tell us about the accident.

First, the accident occurred near Namyangju Tunnel on the Guri Pocheon Expressway in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province at around 6:10 a.m. today (27th).

A total of six vehicles slipped on the snow.

Two drivers complained of shoulder and back pain, but they were not taken to the hospital because the injury was not severe.

Fire authorities explained that after the first solo accident of a 1-ton truck, the truck hit all the SUVs that stopped suddenly, and three vehicles, including a van, collided one after another.

Police believe a series of accidents occurred when cars that were coming out of the tunnel slipped into the snow.

A similar accident happened in Incheon.

At around 5:40 a.m. today (27th), a 1.5-ton truck that was driving on the road in Gyesan-dong, Incheon, slipped into the snow.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Around the same time, a street tree collapsed in Simgok-dong, Incheon.

The snow that fell this time was a 'wet snow' containing a lot of water vapor, so it couldn't overcome the weight.

Fire officials explained that safety measures were taken safely and no one was injured.

Citizens were inconvenienced by the delayed operation of trains during rush hour on Seoul Subway Line 9 due to heavy snow.

Due to the heavy snow, the vehicle was delayed by about 10 minutes from the vehicle base at Gaehwa Station.

At Yeomchang Station, there were many passengers waiting, so there was a report on YTN that the escalator had stopped working.

I'm YTN's Yoohyun from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
