According to the Deogyusan National Park Office, while the heavy snow warning was in effect, it began to snow late last night in Deogyusan Mountain, recording an official snowfall of 18.6 cm as of 2 p.m.
However, more snow fell near Hyangjeokbong Peak, the top of Deogyusan Mountain, and about 30cm of snow fell, according to the Deogyusan National Park Office.
The National Park Office said, "We will consider opening the trail after safety inspections of the trail due to the effect of the warning," adding, "Please prepare winter clothes and Eisen when hiking in winter and pay attention to weather conditions and control information."
