The place where the accident occurred is a pedestrian walkway installed next to the apartment reconstruction construction site in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

While three passers-by were passing by, the plate that was covering the stomach collapsed.

The strong impact caused when it fell makes the passage cover look broken like this.

Of the three injured, one woman in her 50s was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but she managed to regain consciousness and was taken to the intensive care unit.

Another man in his 50s and a man in his 60s were found to have been treated and discharged.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, believing that the snow-covered cover collapsed under the weight of heavy snow.

However, there were also rumors that the passage seemed dangerous on a regular basis.

POSCO E&C, an apartment reconstruction contractor, said the cause of the accident is being investigated by related agencies and is actively proceeding with treatment of the injured.
