The RIA Novosti news agency analyzed photos of the fragments of the Ae-Tax missile released by Russia's Defense Ministry and claimed that the missiles produced in the United States in the 1990s were likely supplied to Ukraine.
The manufacturer's name, Lockheed Martin Boat System, was used until 1999, and the company explained that it changed its name to Lockheed Martin Missile Fire Control in 2000.
"It is highly likely that the missile was produced in the late 1990s when the U.S. began to procure a large amount of Atax," RIA Novosti news agency said. "The missile's lifespan is known to be 10 years, so there must have been at least two life-extending measures."
Russia's Defense Ministry said Ukraine attacked the Russian mainland three times on the 19th, 23rd, and 25th, using Attax.
