Until today, there will be more than 15cm of snow in many places.

It looks like it snowed a lot.

Is it still snowing?

[Journalist]
Yes, it's snowing here and then it stops.

However, the snow that fell overnight is still piled up.

The cars are not speeding up either.

Citizens who go to work complain that they are uncomfortable with the accumulated snow.

Let's listen to it for ourselves.

[Kim Young-ki / Iwol-myeon, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do: It's uncomfortable to walk on the road right now, the road was very wet, so I was scolded. I'm on my way to work...]

Heavy snow warnings are in place in Jincheon, Eumseong, Chungju, and Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.

In addition, heavy snow warnings have been issued to the remaining seven cities and counties, including Cheongju and Goesan.

As of 9 a.m., the cumulative snowfall was 40.6cm at Jincheon Satellite Center, 25.5cm at Eumseong Geumwang, and 18.4cm at Chungju Noeun.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that more than 5 to 10cm of snow will fall in the central and northern regions of North Chungcheong Province, and more than 15cm in many places.

The road is also closed, right?

Please explain the damage as well.

[Reporter]
Yes, there are places where roads are closed due to snow accumulation.

There is also a control over the frequent freezing section.

The section from Suryong-ri, Noeun-myeon, Chungju to Neungam-ri, Angseong-myeon, has been closed since 6 a.m. today.

In addition, from Myeongti-ri, Cheongsan-myeon, Okcheon, Gundo, Hwadong-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is also difficult to pass due to frequent freezing.

The entire sections of Songnisan Mountain and Wolaksan Mountain, and Sobaeksan Mountain are controlled.

The Chungbuk Fire Department received 37 snow-related reports from 9 a.m. yesterday.

There were a total of 23 snow traffic accidents, but fortunately, nothing led to death.

In addition, 11 reports were received, including the fall of a tree, and safety measures were taken.

Chungcheongbuk-do has issued the second stage of emergency and more than 700 people have been put on emergency duty.

This snow is a wet snow that contains a lot of moisture.

As it is three times heavier than the average eye, special care should be taken to prevent damage to livestock and greenhouses.

The Central Safety Countermeasures Headquarters raised the heavy snow crisis warning to 'alert'.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security urged people to refrain from outdoor activities, drive vehicles, and use public transportation, saying that overnight snow is feared to freeze roads.
